The Young People’s Philharmonic (YPP) consists of seventy-five to eighty-five committed string, woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians from middle and high schools across the Lehigh Valley and Western New Jersey.
The Junior String Philharmonic (JSP) orchestra consists of string players in grades 5 through 9. They rehearse weekly from September through May, and perform a wide range of works by composers throughout history.
The YPP Chamber Players is a program that expands the scope of the Young People’s Philharmonic through study and performance of music for small ensembles consisting of one player per part.
