Sharon Diane Fischer attended the Manhattan School of Music for viola performance and continued her education in Suzuki Pedagogy at Ithaca College. For the past ten years she has been coaching and performing with the Lehigh University Philharmonic.
Sharon is the principal violist of the South Side Sinfonietta and is a regular member of the Pennsylvania String Ensemble. She has also performed with Lehigh University Choral Arts, Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Lower Merion Symphony Orchestra, and Monocacy Chamber Orchestra. Sharon teaches viola and violin at Lehigh University and maintains a private studio with students ranging from ages 3 to 75. She serves on the board of the Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley and coaches their junior string quartet groups.
